I think the criticism this game is getting could help david cage if he actually listens to it. (not listening to the ones debating about whether it's a game or not a game those arguments are pointless).
I will play this eventually. But a lot of the good criticism shows why Heavy Rain worked and this doesn't quite work as well. As well as brings up certain aspects that were issues with heavy rain, but were forgiven because of the positives it brought. I admittedly was more critical of heavy rain than other people that weren't in the "this is not a game" category. Praise can also cause one's ego to grow a bit too much which is what I felt was happening to him.
I could be surprised and absolutely disagree with everyone when I play it. But some of the issues were things that bothered me about heavy rain.
If he listens to the useful criticism... and not just thinks that it's his way or the highway. I think it's good for this style of game and evolving it for the future because it is still sort of in it's infancy. Trying various things shows what works and doesn't work for this type of game that he wouldn't have otherwise known.
