Looking at the Playstation 3 sales % stats

let's put it this way:

the 360 should sell roughly another 5 million consoles this year
so the ps3 has to sell between 11-12 million more consoles this year (in 44 weeks) in order to catch up to 360

that is 250-275k/week sales, when it has not gone above 192k since the holidays yet

last year ps3 sold 5.6 million consoles in 52 weeks, which is 108k/week

this year it has to sell 250-275k/week for the rest of the year, which is a 231 - 252% increase in sales year over year

that, btw, is one of the better case scenarios, because it assumes 360 doesn't have a price break to increase sales...i know if it has one then ps3 can have one as well, but ps3's % increase only grows still if 360 sales are more than 5mil this year

so u either think 360 won't sell 5mil more this year (still total ltd sales below original xbox, so there are still xbox owners looking to upgrade besides the new-to-xbox 360 owners) OR you think ps3 can somehow see a 250% increase in sales over last year
