Nintendo and Sony... The reason they are still alive is because they know their customers (for the most part) and they will continue to do so... It is hard to get games with such perfect gameplay and storyline anywhere else but on Nintendo and Sony consoles, and Microsoft has the games with the best online multiplayer (arguably)
Sega with the dreamcast may have learnt their lesson if it didn't fail but its hard to say based on majority of their games and how bad they are (mostly except for the recent ones), Atari is just lolz, Steambox, you can play the games on PC, Apple console is double lolz (Will probably cost $5000 and with the hardware capabilities of the Snes)
