I doubt it has much of a chance passing Minecraft. MC's appeal came from how accessible it was. Anyone has the ability to build a city, play maps or just survive the single player day by day. While Spark does look incredible, and is certainly very ambitious, i see it appealing to the same market as LBP did. 0.1% of people creating actual good maps and content and the other 99.9% just playing. It's like a super version of Minecraft where half the game isn't accessible to the general gamer.
