I use to do this but later on realized just how maddening it was and just gave it up. Now, whatever games I haven't played before the next gen, I just let them go. I figure, if the game was that great to begin with, I'd have made it a priority to play it when it came out or shortly after. And besides, there's always ebay if I want to play something 5 years down the road.
I say, learn to let go. Alot less stress imo.
