So you are saying Nintendo only makes games for kids? |
Thats their primary market. Their secondary market are families. I believe one Nintendo employee said it best that they wouldnt make games they couldnt play on th couch with their grand kids. Adults are welcomed and encouraged to play their games but that is not their focus group. Nintendo is like Neverland where if you grow up you're out of the club. The upside is that the world Nintendo creates holds up as easily as disney characters do in their unified world. This is a charm no competitor can match. It has the greatest marketing potential to be your childs first console but not enough to be their last.
