Or he's just not interested in them. I mean the last one I owned was Gameboy Advance (for Fire Red mostly). Now I probably will pick up a 3DS at some point with X but I still have almost no interest in them. If the Nintendo ones weren't so cheap and I wasn't such a big Pokemon fan (not competitively just really enjoy them) I would never buy them. Just not worth a big investment imo I like big cinematic experiences mostly with very few exceptions so I don't talk about handhelds much.
