The WiiU outputs a 1080p image to the 480p gamepad screen(technically its above 480p,its got a higher pixel density so the IQ looks better. Turn up the brightness when you get a battery replacement or just keep it charging.

Old Wii games are upscaled.

They looked about the same to me in this demo - still jaggies, and some simmer from not enough Anti Aliasing.   Not as good as a Dolphin emmulator it seems.

The tablet might be fine, but my 720P laptop bothers me with it's low res.  I know, I'm spoiled, but that's the way it is.



 

Really not sure I see any point of Consol over PC's since Kinect, Wii and other alternative ways to play have been abandoned.
