The PS4 GPU rates at around 4000. As you can see, there are sub $200 cards available on PC that exceeds that comfortably today.


Still the GPU in PS4 will do much better, since every game will be written with this single card in mind, which will make games look much better than on a similar PC - as it always happens with consoles.

I actually plan to buy both a PS4 and a PC next year, but I probably won't be in a hurry with the PC, as waiting just for 2 months may allow me to save money, while PS4 won't drop in price for quite some time.


That is true to some extend. I had a 7900GTX for a few years (same GPU as PS3) and I found games on my PC to perform about 10% worse (fps wise) than on PS3. To me that was not really a big deal, but I know some people freak out about these things.
