I thought about that. There is a very prominent ad-space there. But there are ways to work around.
1)Easy solution. Move the ad-space
2)Harder solution. Incorporate the banner of the month or week as an ad. Here's an example. Lets say UserX makes a banner based around Super Mario Galaxy. The pic could be meta-tagged with "Nintendo", "Wii", "Super Mario Galaxy", "Nintendo DS", etc etc and have google ads direct a click to a related site, like amazon.
