Not sure what all the arguing is about...

If

Console A can run at 120 (fake value) but has 10 in reserve
Console B can run at 180 (fake value) and also has 10 in reserve

Nothing has actually changed, the gap is still the same.. etc etc. Of course if Console B actually doesnt need 10 in reserve... it is slightly more powerful...

But really who cares at this point? Most people believe the PS4 is more powerful, it doesnt matter if its 6% or 9% or 45% - at the moment we don't really know how this will translate into actual running games. So it's pointless arguing about MS raising its CPU stuff up 6% or something else using 10%. Ultimately we have no idea what each machine is doing and how well it is doing it.

The only thing I would say, is that adding Kinect as a bundled device which affects the performance of the console does now seem like a bad idea from MS, especially when they went for a less powerful machine to start with.

Hopefully November can get here quickly and we can actually see what all these Gigaflops and % actually mean in terms of running the games.
