Many Christian holidays have changed over the years to help people of other religions just like it was with Christmas. I wonder if you complain on New Years that it isnt actually the "New year" or run around throwing it in peoples faces like it matters that a year is not exactly 365 days? As for the Sabath I think that was made pretty clear in Genesis. Also many are not off on Sundays as they would be fired. Seems only certain religions are free to express their religous freedoms |
"Seems only certain religions are free to express their religious freedoms" I agree to an extent Christianity is often a big bully in the USA.
The Christian Sabbath is not even Sunday, but sun down on Friday to sun down on Saturday.
Religions adapt and borrow from each other all the time. Many Christian Saints were Gods and other important figures in other religions. Even the Hebrew story of the Flood and Noah was taken from and earlier culture.
Oh, by the way, when someone swears ‘Goddamit!’ it’s not about religion, but a swearing against an old knight.
