I won't get into the rest of this discussion, but I will add this: The WiiU/GameCube comparison is flawed and it always has been. The WiiU looks bad against the GameCube, because the GameCube actually had a very good year. In fact, there aren't many consoles that sold better than it, and it managed to gain half it's total lifetime sales in that first year (think about that for a second, in the remaining last four years of it's life it only sold just a bit more than in it's first year, what happened there?). From the top of my head, I think only the Wii, and the PS2 sold more in their first years. The PS1 maybe, but I don't believe so. That means that some of the most succesful consoles of all time, didn't beat the GameCube when first years are concerned. The XBox 360, the PS3, the SNES, the NES; they all lost. For the WiiU to lose this one, isn't such a huge deal as long it'll do decent enough. |
you are right, but, remember, the Gamecube was actually on par with the PS2 and Xbox, and some games actually were cooler on the Cube.
In other hand, when the WiiU fail to outshine the PS3 and 360 conterparts, it really makes the consumers afraid of getting one, right? Like Splinter Cell and Batman not having online and stuff like that...
