Maybe a 360 player did not gain anything, Microsoft gained though. Sales of those games were higher on 360 no doubt, plus maybe someone decided to buy an 360 instead of a PS3 because of those hypothetical games. And that's how things work, everyone wants to be successful, exclusives help a lot. i know why they do it but i don't support it  i would rather like to see microsoft or sony to pay for one more new game which we wouldn't get otherwise instead of 5 timed exclusive or console exclusive games we would also see without this payment but on even more platforms.

But we don't really know, except for those obvious examples, whether a game would release eventually or not, a lot of times we can only assume. Like in this case (that's all hypothetical, since it may turn out not to be an exclusive at all) we don't know who aproached who, who came up with the idea, etc.
