Sounds good to me.

Yea I bought my PSP last year, have about 25 games (look under my games). I'll beat Disgaea one day, the battle system is well designed IMO, but I'm in no rush.

I hope D2 gets a Vita remake so when I eventually do buy a Vita, I have 3, 4 and D2. These types of games are funner to play outside of the house, they really suit the smaller screen.

Off topic, how would you rate Disgaea in comparision to other SRPG franchises like Fire Emblem, FFT, Tactics Ogre, Front Mission, etc. What games is it better then, what is it worse then? I love Fire Emblem & Front Mission, it's the main reason I bought a 3DS and DS.

Also are Disgaea 3 & 4 really noticably worse then 1 & 2?

Battle system wise I see FFT/Tactics Ogre and Disgaea to be similar while I would compare Fire Emblem to something like Shining Force - So I see FE and Disgaea different from each other with their own ups and downs to their battle systems - its like comparing a Third Person shooter to a First Person shooter.

I would say Disgaea's gameplay is a bit more fluid in its animation than FFT/Tactics Ogre along with the fact that the gameplay goes beyond with team attacks, the level range, and how you can customize your party with monsters and other characters you get - as well with what you can do to the field/environment to your own advantage or disadvantage.

Storyline wise I would say FFT and Tactics beats Disgaea (although that is subjective) but gameplay wise Disgaea truly shines over them.

I havent played Disgaea 3 or 4 but I do know that Disgaea 4 has been recently announced for PSVita for 2014 release.

I agree FE is very different from "3D" SRPG's which have maps with elevation changes. I relate it most to Advance Wars (also Intelligent system) of all things.

Your opinion about SRPG's is actually the same as mine, I noticed what you said about Disgaea having fluid animations in my 3 hours or so playing it. I actually think the whole battle sequence is well designed, my only complaint is being able to create generic characters. I hate Generic characters, but I'm also excited about this "Item World", I didn't get far enough in Disgaea to experience it.

I personally like the plot in SPRG's more then regular JRPG's. This is why I like games like FE, FM, TO, and FFT, but the battle sequences in Disgaea are so fluid, and there is so much dialogue in the game, I'm still happy to own it.

So when I'm looking for my next PSP game to play, I'll choose Disgaea when I feel like a fun SRPG, but if I want a good JRPG story, I might start up Breath of Fire 3 or something.

Anyway, Thank You.

P.S. I'm aware of Disgaea 4 for PSV. D3 & D4 are 2/6 PSV games I'm interested. SRPG's just play better on a smaller screen IMO, so I really hope DD2 gets a remake for PSV. I won't get a PSV until I beat the bulk of my PSP games though.
