Whatever happened to that Yarn Yoshi game? They should have filled the slot with that.

I am wondering about that too. It seems like too many Nintendo studios take too much time for their games nowadays (Kirby's Epic Yarn was released in late 2010). Although it's not like there isn't a slot to fill after MK8, so we might see that game in June.

Whatever happens though, another software drought is inevitable at some point. Third parties won't show up and Nintendo isn't capable of putting out at least 20 retail games per year.

12 per year is a good number for me. One game per month is more than enough. I am pretty sure games releasing this end year are all done, but they want to spread them as good as possible. look at Wii Fit U and Sports Club, did you hear about them before the direct? and they are releasing in just 1-2 months. Don't worry about the Yoshi game, it wil probably be out by january or february. I prefer one game per month.
