Theyve said its avaiilable day 1 theyve even shown it happening in there promo reels for Killzone, so not sure what your getting at, they already beta tested the tech on PS3 with TLOU. Why do you need very good internet access for it to work, once youve got the minimum at whatever speed you can start playing, if you have really slow connection, you many have to stop again i suppose,  but its sureley better than waiting for the full 50gig before diving in?

Surely if you have very good internet its less of a thing for you as it probably wont take that long to download the full game?

We are talking about 50G. No matter how you spin this, you will have to wait many times with a bad internet connection. Just buy the game as disc. I say it *is* nice to start playing while downloading but it also has its downsides which perhaps some customers don't see immediately. And TLOU dlded 50% until playing, didn't it? This is somewhat different to this approach.

Going to be different minimum size for each game i would of thought. it doesnt need to be 50%, i got star craft 2 this weekend thats 15gig but lets you start playing after youve downloaded 1 gig. 

Not sure why your hating on this feature so much its a great thing, i will be getting it on disk anyway as reguardless of size it will no doubt be financially more agreeable on disk, although thats a whole other argument :)
