| ListerOfSmeg said: AS someone said its really a good deal if you do not buy game day one. For the 50.00 you get to play a good bit of games without buying them separately. However someone mentioned Saints Row 3, I got that for less than 4.00 off Steam and its always mine and always will be able to play it no matter how many times I upgrade my PC. Idk in some ways I can see the benefits of PS+ but in other ways it just seems like a lot of money wasted and nothing you own. If you get a game on PS+ is it yours to keep from then on or just til the months promotion is out? If so I think I prefer buying them on sale off of Steam for around the same price as what PS+ would cost but actually owning the game |
Of course, I would also rather buy SR3 on Steam for 4$ since I would rather own the game (although I'm not sure if you do actually own games on Steam from a legal standpoint) rather than "rent" it, problem is I don't have a PC to run it :-/
I have bought the PS3 not to have that problem, so I would need to find SR3 on PSN/XBLA for that price, but I won't. Got to admit though, that some discounts and promotions, sales are really good sometimes, and you can grab a good game for under 10$. Still point is, it would still cost me way more to buy those games even on huge discounts, rather than having them with PS+ at least for the time being (I hope Sony incorporates Steam like sales, but holding my breath though) so PS+ has has quite amazing value*
*if you of course don't buy the majority of big games day one. But why would you subscribe to PS+ then? I have no idea, seems stupid to me.
So it is happening...PS4 preorder.
Greatness Awaits!
