Seriously, though, I would honor the original trilogy by creating worlds that feel lived in, and characters that feel alive. I'd write a space opera about fathers and sons, and about the heavy burden of heroism.
I'd write all the major players of IV through VI into it. Luke, a member of the reconstituted Jedi Council, Leia a leading politician, Han a reluctant tactician for the New Republic navy, Lando a real estate magnate on Coruscant. But I would make the story arc about a younger generation.
I might take a page from The Legend of Korra and focus the first movie around growing tensions between Force sensitive individuals and the general public.
