Managed to catch the new episode just as it aired. Rambling ahead!

Definitely my favorite of the season so far. It's still very rushed, but I found this one to be so much more enjoyable.

Korra! Well done! She's still all action and no planning, but she didn't explode at people for no reason. Now when she got angry, there were very excellent reasons. Let's keep this Korra. I like her.

ASAMI! So glad to see how her role in things has played out so far. Now give me more. I'm greedy.

Is it just me, or does everyone hate Bolin? Seriously, the guy's been threatened by Eska, and no one seems to care! I mean, this chick is unnerving, and she treats Bolin like crap... and everyone just sort of blows him off. I mean, sure they offer advice, but no one really takes it seriously. Until the end, at least. Holy crap. For a second, I thought that was a dark spirit. But no, it's pissed off Eska. That's more terrifying.

Mako, though... well, he doesn't really have anything to drive him forward. Except, you know, being the avatar's boyfriend. Sorta. Bolin has his psychopathic (ex?)girlfriend to deal with, Asami is trying to rebuild her father's company, Korra needs to not suck at the spiritual side of being the Avatar... even Tenzin had a little development with his family.

Speaking of, that was really fantastic. It was rushed horribly, but I loved those scenes anyway... despite there being so much missed potential from the lack of time. More Vacation Tenzin! (And Jinora, please.)

Unalaq; what the hell is going on in his mind? Is he really doing it for power? For the good of the water tribe? A bit of both? Either way, a civil war is a nice change of pace from TLA, and especially one not involving fire benders being evil.

Overall; best episode so far this season. Slow the pace down a bit, and we've got some really great stuff to look forward to.
