You actually got to play some games! I did lots of queueing....
But anyway, my first taste of PS4 was Black Flag, which was great fun being able to do what I wanted, definitely a game I am going to spend a good amount of time with to work out what is going on.
After that, I queued for forever to get into the Sony booth, then played Resogun. It is basically SuperStardust HD but sideways. Maybe not as good, but definitely free with PS+. I died fairly quickly, so move on to Killzone.... Oh wait there was almost another hour queueing for that
When I did get to play Killzone (running off dev kits) I was amazed in many ways. Firstly, the graphics are just stunning, I was so impressed by them. The main thing that amazed me was how terrible everyone else was, I got 2 10 kill streaks and finished with 3x the points of anyone else there... Something was probably broken
I did try War Thunder for about 2 seconds, but the controls didn't make any sense, so I moved on
I played a bit of FFX HD which had a poorly chosen demo and not too impressive performance, but I'll still buy it
With only like an hour to go now, I wanted to try out an Xbox One game, so I played my brother at FIFA since that didn't have a particularly long line. It was a noticeable step up from current gen games, but I wasn't impressed by the controller (though the rumble triggers weren't being used)
With 15 minutes to go, I got some time on Need for Speed Rivals, which was also good fun
So in summary, I spent so much time queuing, its not something I would repeat in the future, I missed out on Titanfall and the Oculus Rift because I couldn't be bothered to spend even more time queuing. I was very impressed with the DualShock 4 and Killzone in particular, but shame I didn't get to try more games
