Notice the PS3 board doesn't have any launch titles, because the consoles didn't already need "saving" before launch. So Mario and ZombiU have no place on that board. Virtual Console is a weird one. Hell, Lego City would make some sense, while Wonderful 101 makes none, and I don't know why it extends beyond the next goal. If I made it, it would look like this:

Rayman Legends
Lego City
E3 Direct
Pikmin 3

Price Cut
Mario 3D World

And even that much is a stretch, since most people knew better than to expect Rayman Legends (even back when it was an exclusive) or Pikmin 3 to really change the Wii U's fortunes.

The Wii U board simply has no business being so crowded when Lair and Heavenly Sword came out in summer 2007 and Uncharted in November, and those are the only 3 in the first year. Why would the Wii U have two launch titles and eight first-year events or releases? And Wonderful 101, but no Lego City or Wind Waker? Really?

Nice analysis of the Wii U board in particular, really I think they were both made more for fun and mild trolling and as a result they both have flaws like you said.

As for Wii U board being so crowded? I suppose some people are more impatient when it comes to dooming console launches and their agenda is made clearer.

I agree that it's more for laughs than anything, and I can laugh at Nintendo and its fans' blunders plenty -- that's why I offered my own version, rather than rejecting the concept entirely. I just think they ought to be somewhat consistent and logical at least, because it's funnier when I can say, "Yeah, haha, that didn't really pan out," than when I say, "Wonderful 101 -- wtf? ...Really?"

Maybe my sense of humor is just wrong for this kind of joke though.
