I have my doubts about this "STEAM MACHINE"
If VALVE's Steam Machine is anything like that xi3 PISTON thing ($1,000), then Valve might as well forget it. Unless the thing arrives years later than PS4/XBONE, then I don't see how tiny Valve can leverage any better deal than Sony and MS in terms of pricing.
Then, there's the issue about physical media....Most retail stores won't allow a low or below margin piece of hardware to sit in their stores with no software to sell.
Valve has a very uphill battle and they have little experience....and they don't have unlimited resources to get it done.
I don't think they can do it by themselves.
Now, their OS...that could be intriguing. They should put their resources into making that work instead.
