Yeah, I know. And if you can put the Steam OS on any computer, I don't see the point of buying a Steam Machine over building one yourself, which will always be the cheaper route unless the manufacturer eats some of the cost like console manufacturers do.

Maybe something to do with preloaded drivers? Don't know.
