Ubisoft is telling you, that you wont see much better than AC4 for a while. Its you fools chugging after insane production values that killed off a lot of companies.
NIntendo's issue with HD, was due to the nature of the amount of time investment needed, they likely had a different development setup which needed to be restructured to work in HD efficiently.
