1. The price.. Too expensive for its hardware power.

In Short, it is not only a software problem .... Several mistakes caused the present situation and Ninty has to work hard....


Well in the OP I acknowledged that there are other factors but the number 1 issue is software.

A console can be the cheapest, most powerful and have the best controller but wont sell a whole lot if it doesnt have the right software.
