It might have. But the thing is, all of those consoles rose a lot in sales while Vita isn`t rising.
So, my guess is, they know they won`t sell more than they did so why lose profits by giving the game more dev time.

This is, of course, assuming Vita will get the 3DS treatment (= same game as last year).

You know why psvita sold that poorly it's because 3rd make any effort to push the console,yes the install base is not big but i believe it's enough to have serie growth on Vita.
