If consoles sales are all about the software, then what's the point Wii U's second screen?

You need software to show the appeal of the second screen. At this moment, I believe the gamepad is just like the 3D for 3DS, something that didn't get the mass appeal and they don't care anymore.

I'm expecting some uses for the second screen, but nothing like the Wii Remote.

Also, you should stop being closed minded about it, just enjoy or sell it. It doesn't need to be necessary to be joyful, just an option to play.
