Sorry, I'm too busy laughing at the people that say Gaikai is going to be wonderful and Microsoft's cloud is useless. Because that sentence contradicts itself so much. Either it can work, like Netflix Streaming, World of Warcraft, World of Tanks, and every other multi online game, or it can't.

To answer your question. I remember a programer/developer working on Ryse they they were offloading some things, like a big burning fire and some giant smoke clouds. So playing offline might lose out on some of the vistas. Beyond that, we will have to wait and see.
