The more I try the Wii U, the less appealing it becomes to me. What am I missing?

To be honest mate the Wii U isnt to everybodys taste, you dont have to like it. I had an Xbox 360 near launch and i just didnt rate it whatsoever, really just couldnt get on with it. (wasnt fussed when it got RROD).
