$1185 is just a 1 bedroom rent money for a metropolitan area in MD. Plus the people that get assistance have kids. Put that into account.

2 things. First, it isn't just the people that have kids (lets not even get into the fact that many of them should have thought about whether they could afford a kid first), I know single people who are getting assistance. Second, it would be greatly appreciated if you don't put obscenely false statements such as the 1 bedroom rent comment in your argument. I just went to craigslist (just like I did to get my current place I rent), and found 3 bedroom houses for...as low as $750 in the baltimore area.

So I'm not quite sure what kind of luxurious living you think is a necessity in this world, but it is nothing close to what you are trying to tell me (if you really want to get technical...even my semi crappy house I live in is by no means necessary).

I want to call you names but because of my morals I can't. I live in MD.

I'm single and looked for a decent area in a metrop. area to live and couldn't find anything under $1000 to settle.

Just because you had it good doesn't mean everybody has a daddy and mommy to provide them w/ a safety net.

By the way post the link of the craigslist page of the $750 3 bedroom in Baltimore.

Luxury? You are hilarious...
