Define socialism. The United States might not be socialist, but it is certainly collectivist and corporatist/fascist in nature. Government has its hand in almost every market, and has its special interest groups reaching into my pocket. That's just as bad as socialism, if not worst. If you want an example of a liberal economy look at Hong Kong.
