but Ryu ga Gotoku Kenzan hasn't been released in the week ending 1st of march, so it won't have any effect on the sales data for that week

No, but but sales will rise the week after. Some Japanese may want to wait a week for a Yakuza bundle. Just wanted to address this with regard to the original post.

I think North American PS3 sales will stay high due to clarity on the now settled HD format war (there was a lot of FUD spreading with regard to this in the US media in the past). For Japan there never was a real format war as Blu-Ray already accounted for 99% of software and hardware sales, so this settlement has no real impact on Japanese sales.

I think the recent increase in PS3 sales in NA  has more to do with the 360 supply then Blu Ray.

Some will buy a PS3 because of the Blu Ray, but I believe more gamers are choosing the PS3 due to the 360 being in short supply.

Next week, I'm IOI's numbers in NA to show a 50% increase for the 360 and a 20% decrease for the PS3.

You can quote me on that, so let me clarify - This week, the week ending March 8th, which ioi will report next week, will show a 50% increase for the 360 and a 20% decrease for the PS3
