From your other posts it sounds like you do need subsidies, except they come from your parents. Do you pay for health insurance? Rent? Car/Insurance? Or if you owned a home there would be a whole host of regular and unforseen expenses. Spending such a seemingly large chunk on entertainment/electronics would not be prudent if you didn't have someone to fall back on.
Also, I don't know about your scholarships in particular, but most come from the federal or state governments, many others come from Universities funded by the government.
