No. I said eShop sales were less than 150k. They were 100k.

Famitsu combines Download Card into normal retail sales (which also explains the discrepancy between the two).

I thought it was well known that they have large gaps in their numbers.  Look at AKB for isntance.

MC - 27k

Or scroll down the rest of the list and see how wide their gaps range.   Extrapolate that to nearly 2 million units and you start to get gaps in the hundreds of thousands....just like MHP3rd - 300k gap.

There are always discrepancies, but Famitsu including download cards into their overall number accounted for the difference (although I thought bundles were included in both, but numbers listed in kyuubi's post say otherwise).

The explain the difference for MHP3rd, I would think they included bundles into their number where media create did not. That makes sense to me.

Media Create ALWAYS tracks bundles. Capcom shared that week that MHP3 shipment was 2 million first week. And that's what Media Create said:

[PSP] Monster Hunter Portable 3 (Capcom) {2010.12.01} - 1.950.717 <95,08%>

So, it's just a typical discrepancy between trackers, overtracked in this case.

What matters is that in the end, both trackers agreed:

Famitsu
