Recently I've been looking the Miiverse communities and noticed that the member count that the site shows could give us a little help on knowing things like a game's sales( mainly on digital sales, and eshop only games) and miiverse popularity. We can even test VGChartz's precision.

Remembering that it's not sure whether the numbers mean the number of people who own the game and posted, or if it shows the number of people who posted, having the game or not.

So here are some of the games' numbers:

Through these numbers we can see some intereting things, if they mean the number of people who own the game and posted we can see the percentage of people who really use miiverse, and have an idea of the games' sales, as not all VGChartz's numbers are accurate.

Remembering that these numbers are USA only, except for Rayman, which the community says that numbers are worldwide, dont know why.

New Super Mario Bros. U :

VGChartz's US sales: 0,95m

Miiverse posters:  0,318m

Percentage of people who used miiverse:  33,4%

Nintendo Land :

VGChartz's US sales: 1,26m

Miiverse posters : 0,781m

Percentage of people who used miiverse: 61,9%

These games are more on the casual side, so the numbers are less predictable, because the number of people who post is more related to how heavily it's inserted into the game, in Nintendo Land, for example, the game shows miiverse posts after every time you play a game, what could estimulate people to post.

Analyzing more "hardcore games" we have:

Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate:

VGChartz's US sales: 0,1m

Miiverse posters:0,052m

Percentage of people who used miiverse: 52%

Zombi U:

 VGChartz's US sales:  0,24m

Miiverse posters: 0,1m

Percentage of people who used miiverse: 41,6%

Call of Duty: Black Ops 2:

VGChartz's US sales: 0,12m

Miiverse posters:0,084m

Percentage of people who used miiverse: 70%

Assassin's Creed III:

VGChartz's US sales: 0,09m

Miiverse posters:0,051m

Percentage of people who used miiverse: 56,6%

Splinter Cell Blacklist:

VGChartz's US sales: 0,011m

Miiverse posters:0,009m

Percentage of people who used miiverse: 81,8%

So, with this we have that the average of people who use miiverse is around 60,4% on "Hardcore Games", 47,6% on casual games, and 56% on total. That, with the games I analyzed, and supposing these number are of people who have the game.

Another interesting thing to take a look in these numbers is sales, as said before, the Rayman Legends numbers are worldwide ones ( community says it), so analyzing it:

VGChartz's WW sales: 50k

Miiverse posters: 75k

Those number show that either the game is undertracked in VGChartz or the Digital sales are really relevant, if the later is true that would mean that 30% of the sales are digital or even more, as not everyone who owns the game is using miiverse! Such numbers are truly impressive, considering Nintendo is famous for having a poor online community.

And, while The Wonderful 101 sales aren't out let's do some math:

Putting the Wonderful 101 as "Hardcore Game" 60,4% of it's user should be posting on miiverse, as it's community member count says it has 7,3k sales, the game should be at around 12, so if my hypothesis is true, the game also flopped in US. T_T Really sad, this game is a true gem, I have it and am really loving it so far.

If the text is poorly written don't kill me, I'm not used to write in english.
