COMG data actually suggests that Pokémon is indeed over 1m in Japan alone. Let's say the 1m is for the whole world, then Japanese pre-orders should be at ~500k. That leaves us with 1 pt/365pre-orders, which is quite low. In comparison Pokémon Black/White ended with 3400pts and did 2.8m in it's first week in Japan. That's a ratio of 1/823.
