Despite making a lot of mistakes in his aging years as president, he brought Nintendo great success. He might have screwed up with the Virtual Boy. Sony CD add-on contract, N64 (you know hardware issues, cartridges etc), and possibly GameCube, he gave his pension to Nintendo as he felt if could've benefit it the comapny more than him. With the money he made with shares he had at Nintendo, he developed plans for a new facility that will focus on cancer treatments in.

Nevertheless his business model made Nintendo successful and rich.
