Some people would yell and scream. News shows would be all scary, and some religious groups would have big end of the world predictions.
Then a few people would experiment. Would see a little spike in drug use. Any accident or crime related would make national headlines.
Then crime would drop, gangs would break up, health cost, crime, violence would go down. More people would be out working, helping their families, raising their kids than being in jail.
The overall drug use would be lower, as it is in most places without prohibition.
Note: There would also be more clear skies and rainbows, and perhaps unicorns would return to this world. (I'm kidding, but the world would be a better and safer place.)
