head tracking in cover mode for FPS will be pure awesomeness, finally I won't look like tard leaning on my couch.... since it is already a naturally occurring reflex for me it makes complete sense... especially if you can do a progressive peak...

That's probably not the head tracking they are talking about. All this is is rotation, not translation.

It's not at all something you'd want in an fps.

did you read the OP?

Battlefield 4 on Xbox One could feature Kinect-powered head-tracking, executive producer Patrick Bach said in a new interview on the Xbox Wire.

He explained that DICE is "looking into" features that "enhance" controls, including using Kinect for peeking and leaning, as well as further head-tracking. This is in addition to using Kinect for voice commands.

In July, DICE general manager Karl Magnus Troedsson said Battlefield 4 would use Kinect on Xbox One only "where it will make sense."

"We have a pretty pragmatic view [on Kinect]," Magnus Troedsson said at the time. "Instead of just trying to tick all the boxes of features you can do with new hardware, we look at what actually adds value [for] our players."

Also in the Xbox Wire interview, Bach confirmed that Battlefield 4 on Xbox One will support 64 players and run at 60 frames-per-second. "This is a big deal for us because it's always something we've wanted to deliver but we couldn't do it without taking away from the core 'Battlefield' experience," he said.

doing like it forza makes absolutely no sense what so ever except maybe a little tilte just for atmosphere effect in cinematics.... but other than that it is moronic since you can freely move your character head in free roaming... the only time it makes sense is in position where you loose the head movement of your character, such as when you take cover, crop or lean.... it could be great in sniper mode also.. a litle tilt to the left while in scope to check out without scope ut without loosing your scope focus.....
I can think of plenty of ways to implement it in subtle ways that would actually improve gameplay since right now you have 0 freedom in those situation with the pad...
but doing it like in forza is plain silly and looking at how they talk about it I doubt it's that they are talking about, there is nothing pragmatic or enhancing into that....

people should have a little more faith sometimes, it's not kinect 1 we are talking about with tacky features thrown in on the go to please MS... this is probably DICE directly who wants to experiment without MS pushing too hard... it's kinect 2 we are talking about a device that is not working on the same tech as kinect1 that has dedicated co pro that are way better than what existed before, capable to track so accuratly that it knows if you are talking, smilling, eyes open or closed etc and it can do it in the dark.... I have absolutely no doubt that we will see great implementaion of kinect features in games and they will work better than anything Kinect 1 ever did..
