That's probably not the head tracking they are talking about. All this is is rotation, not translation.

It's not at all something you'd want in an fps.

Certainly doesn't make him a better driver, I wouldn't want his Drivatar going into that first corner.

Translation would be better for racing too, too many times I've tried to peak over crests to no avail. Leaning left/right to get a better view is less disruptive too instead of turning your viewpoint, at least for me. I usually lose the driving line when I turn my viewpoint. Leaning to shift your view through the tv window is natural, both viewpoint and car turning on a fixed screen feels all wrong.
