Can you be a Nintendo fan, but not a Nintendo gamer?

Most cannot be blamed for thinking that though because children and families are Nintendos primary focal demographic. I don't really read about Nintendo, theres nothing exciting to really talk about rather than just to see what they create and play it. Theres no in depth storylines, no stars or actors, the gameplay is fairly simple. Its just simple fun really, nothing more, nothing less. 

"Most people" do not think Nintendo is "kiddie". Only people who have severe maturity, security, and self-identity issues. People who relate violent, dark and extreme types of games as "hardcore", and relate that to the image they identify with as a "gamer". No self-respecting adult looks at something that isn't explicitly dark/violent and says "that's for kids, I won't touch it". That's the same kind of crowd who claims they're "too old for cartoons", and that kind of nonsense. If you think that a cartoony game like a Mario or a Kirby, etc., is "kiddie" and thus you can't be caught dead playing it (because what would your FRIENDS think?), you have far bigger issues you need to deal with as a person.

So no, I don't buy that "most people" feel that way at all. Only the self-identifying "hardcore gamer" crowd, who thankfully are NOT most people.
