No. Being a fan of someone or something involves consuming their media/engaging in an activity. If someone claimed to be a football fan and has never seen a football game, they would be a poser. Similarly, you can't say "I'm a Pink Floyd fan" if you've never heard a Pink Floyd fan, nor be a Walking Dead fan without having ever seen an epidode of the show. You can like Nintendo if you don't play their games, but being a fan is a more specific thing.
