the article in the OP indicated that M$ wasn't releasing in Japan as on of its 13 launch country and seemed to be asking why bother going to the TGS.  I was just asking the obvious question or line that should have been included in that article.

 

I know that Sony has many products there, as does M$.

which is probably because spencer starts his quote with, "People ask why are we going to TGS. Obviously, Japan we've announced isn't one of our launch territories."
