First off, most powerfull systems weren't last every gen. In fact, only Xbox was. SNES was most powerfull and won.

And why are you acting as if more power somehow contributed to their ''failure''. More power is always a good thing, regardless of other aspects of the system .

more power certainly never directly contributed to success, only increasing price (wich is kind of a contributor to failure).
