I've allways seen it as once u go 60FPS going below it just doesnt feel great anymore. I do wish most games would run 1080p, especially since I bought a full HD TV ages ago and not many games really go for 1080p. =/
in the end though, I think its gonna be a matter of time when games start pushing some boundaries and developers have to sacrifice resolution/FPS for better performance.
