It seems you aren´t well informed. Both titles are new entries and no ports. And DKC TF is beeing made for two reasons, 1. Retro wanted to do it 2. DKCR on Wii sold almost more than all three Metroid Prime games combined.
I did not say DK was a port but that Mario 3D Land was essentially a 3ds port
Retro makes the games Nintendo tells it to make- I doubt they would have made DK if they had the ok from Nintendo Japan to make whatever game they wanted to make for the Wii U- We had DK Country returns on the Wi u, then DK Country returns on the 3DS now another DK 2d platform game? I m sure it will be a great game but hardly fresh and exciting
