Woops, so many Japanenese publishers are bankrupt these days, I got them confused.

But Sega can't afford them especially. I'd be shocked if it wasn't being ported as we speak (or type...)

Than be prepared to be shocked, Sonic Colours never left the Wii, as did MadWorld ( even developed by Platinum too)

I would be shocked if it would leave the WiiU knowing about Nintendo GameCube exclusives that never resurfaced on anything besides Nintendo (Resident Evil Remake, Zero, Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes etc.)

Those latter games had exclusive deals tied to them from the start and there's been no word whether this has one attached too, so I’d guess it doesn’t. And those other titles never left the Wii because...well...there just wasn't that much of a following for them. I somehow just don't see people clamoring for Sonic Colors and Mad World to grace their systems, so there's really no reason for them to port those.

Plus for each exclusive that you named that didn't leave the platform, there have been several major ones that have (RE4 anyone?), so really, it's a coin flip.

I say it will eventually for one simple reason: Because of the lack of success of the Wii U. If they don't port it, they're flat out leaving money on the table, and if you think they're going to risk closing their doors as a studio just to remain loyal to one company, then you’ve got another thing coming.

If it does stay exclusive though, it’ll be that way only because they couldn’t afford to port it to the other consoles, not because they don't want to spite Ninty. It's just too costly these days for their to be true 100% third party exclusives which is why they're so rare.

the difference between something like Bayonetta 2 and RE4 is that Nintendo paid for 100% of the games' development, and i think they pretty much "own" the Bayonetta 2 name, kinda like how they own the MGS: Twin Snakes' rights because they paid for the game development.

Remember the GTAIV DLC though? That was funded by Microsoft and it launched on PS3 and PC a mere 1 year later. And reportedly ME1 was too. All I'm saying is don't be too disappointed if this game jumps ship. There's a better chance that it's ported than it not.

The only way it will be 100% not coming to other platforms is if it manages to scratch out decent sales on the system which is yet to be seen. If it tanks, I say look for a port soon thereafter.

Apparantly you missed the topics related to the tweets that BAYONETTA devolopers sent out saying "quit asking about Bayonetta on other consoles, its 100% up to Nintendo, ask them"

Of course they're going to deny it. Bioware denied a PS3 port even though PS3 data was found in the source code down to the very day, so you can't go by that alone. They want as many people to buy this version as possible. They don't want people waiting for it to be ported to their systems. And they probably said that so people would quit pestering them anyway.

But boy am I going to laugh if it is ported though. Some people are getting way too attached to game like it's the savior of the Wii U or something. This game will not make or break the Wii U.

If it does, they're toast anyway.
