Those latter games had exclusive deals tied to them from the start and there's been no word whether this has one attached too, so I’d guess it doesn’t. And those other titles never left the Wii because...well...there just wasn't that much of a following for them. I somehow just don't see people clamoring for Sonic Colors and Mad World to grace their systems, so there's really no reason for them to port those. Plus for each exclusive that you named that didn't leave the platform, there have been several major ones that have (RE4 anyone?), so really, it's a coin flip. I say it will eventually for one simple reason: Because of the lack of success of the Wii U. If they don't port it, they're flat out leaving money on the table, and if you think they're going to risk closing their doors as a studio just to remain loyal to one company, then you’ve got another thing coming. If it does stay exclusive though, it’ll be that way only because they couldn’t afford to port it to the other consoles, not because they don't want to spite Ninty. It's just too costly these days for their to be true 100% third party exclusives which is why they're so rare. |
the difference between something like Bayonetta 2 and RE4 is that Nintendo paid for 100% of the games' development, and i think they pretty much "own" the Bayonetta 2 name, kinda like how they own the MGS: Twin Snakes' rights because they paid for the game development.
