Yes, ps vita tv should count as vita sales.

2ds = Nintendo took away the 3D effect and subtracted the clam shell design. They also took away stereo speakers for mono.

PS Vita tv = Sony took away the buttons and triggers, the OLED front screen/touchscreen functionality, the rear touch pad, the headphone jack, the front and rear cameras, and finally gyroscope/accelerometer

Just because Sony is more hardcore with stripping a product of its features DOESN'T mean it shouldnt count as a ps vita. I hope this product will take off and boost vita sales.

That is in no way comparable. The 2DS is still a handheld. It's just a budget version of the 3DS. The PSVita.tv is not a HANDHELD. It is a console box that can play vita games. There is a DVD player that can play GBA games. How come that wasn't counted as sales for the GBA? I mean how hard is it to get the obvious through to people. I'm not even the only one who can see this

Portable - 3DS, 2DS, 3DSXL, Vita, Cheaper VIta

Not Portable - Ouya, Apple TV, PSVITA.TV, that Madcatz box

It's common sense. 2ds = portable. PSVita.TV = Not portable. How hard is it to understand that the 3DS and PSVita are together on that chart due to the fact they're both handhelds? If the vita originally was released in this version without a handheld version this discussion wouldn't even exist. People would laugh at the idea of comparing the two. All the defenders appear to be sony fan boys who suddenly want to see the PSvita spike in sales and gloat about it. Even though the devices serve entirely DIFFERENT purposes. One is for portability. The other is a home console. They just share similarities in names and have the same guts. Actually the VitaTV has different guts just the same processor. Laptop sales typically are tracked differently than Desktop sales for a reason.
